One of our more sizeable projects was the collaboration with Simon Rogan. This involved designing, modelling and creating a number of unique tables for his Michelin star restaurant.

The design was inspired by natural forms of stone. Pebbles from Walney Island were collected as concept for the design. Working closely with Simon, a range of ideas were created. Scale models were produced to portray how the tables would look. Four people were to sit comfortably round the table, with that in mind, particular attention was paid to the tables frame. Once a design was agreed upon, a full size prototype was produced and placed in the restaurant. From there, we were able to refine the design ready for production.

The material, solid oak, was chosen for its durability with an easy clean finish. The tables were sprayed with a dark stain to fit with the restaurants interiors and ambiance. Due to the restaurants uneven slate floor the tables were fitted with adjustable feet. This would ensure that the tables could placed anywhere within the restaurant.
