Prices

Prices are correct at the time of publishing and include VAT where applicable. It may be necessary to change prices from time to time, including any changes to the rate of VAT. Any price changes will be confirmed to you at the time of ordering.

Products

Product dimensions are given to the nearest centimetre (width x height x depth). Please note that we may alter specifications of our products from time to time. Any changes will be notified on this web site. The reproduction of colours is as accurate as photographic and publishing processes will allow and paint colours can vary from batch to batch. Whilst every effort has been made to portray items accurately no liability is accepted for any perceived variations between web site depiction and actual product. All furniture is painted with a non-toxic water based eggshell paint and complies to British Standard. The paint finish is wipeable to help remove minor scuffs. Due to the paint's child-friendly nature and soft finish, marking may occur with heavier use.

Ordering

Products may be ordered via the on-line shop or by telephone. Payment is due at the point of order. An order becomes binding when accepted by us. An acknowedgment of order will be sent to the customer by email.

Delivery

All items of furniture are made to order and delivery is normally within 28 days from the date the acknowledgement of order is sent. Please note that all products are hand-made and demand varies depending on the time of year. Please order well in advance if you require delivery for a specific date. All prices include postage and packaging

Cancellation

All products are made or cut to the customer's specification and therefore 'personalised' as recognised by The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. As such it is not possible to return products unless faulty.

You have the right to amend or cancel your order within 48 hours after the acknowledgement of order has been sent. We reserve the right to charge 100% of the cost of the product should cancellation occur after 48 hours.

Liability

If a product arrives damaged or a mistake has been made with an order we will repair or replace (at our discretion) at no additional expense to the customer. It is the customer's responsibility to check products carefully and report any problems immediately upon delivery as no liability will be taken for visible defects identified after having received a signed acceptance of delivery.

No liability is accepted for conditions of use or storage within the customer's home after delivery which may affect the products in any way.

Childs & Co's total liability for any claim howsoever arising in relation to any of its products shall not exceed the price of the products supplied to the customer. Childs & Co shall not be liable for any consequential loss arising from a breach of contract or in any other way. This statement does not affect your statutory rights. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information on this website, Childs & Co does not warrant that it will be error free and the customer acknowledges that information, products and services published on this website may include errors and typographical errors.

Childs & Co only use the information collected about its customers carefully, lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Email addresses

Your e-mail address will not be added to any mailing list unless explicitly requested. If you request notification of a newsletter or general site updates, your email address and name only will be added to a simple, offline electronic mailing list specific to the selected service. Your email address will not be passed to any third party and your name and address will not be included in the email message that other people on the mailing list see.

You will be removed from any or all mailing lists upon request (please specify the address to be removed).

Privacy Assurance

The Childs & Co web site operates on the basis of established Internet etiquette and good faith with regard to the users and usage of the site. No attempt is made to acquire user information by deception, misdirection or via cookie data, for example, and no individual usage tracking is conducted. You will not be sent unsolicited e-mail at any time.
